Grand Theft Auto IV headed to PCs in November

Rockstar North unleashed Grand Theft Auto IV to record sales and rave reviews in late April, and the title has remained exclusive to next-generation consoles since then. Just over three months later, Rockstar has announced that a PC version is in the works, and it will be out on November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe.

Shacknews says Rockstar intends to reward PC gamers for their patience with exclusive features. The PC version of GTA IV will reportedly feature "newly expanded multiplayer just for the PC," although the developer hasn't elaborated on what these expansions will entail. Nonetheless, Rockstar founder Sam House disclosed that the game "looks and plays beautifully on PC."

GTA fans probably already know the fourth title in the series has players incarnate Niko Bellic, a Serbian immigrant let loose in a near-replica of New York City that's rife with crime and fast cars. Shacknews points out that the title has sold over 8.5 million units to date.
